Last week we hosted our much anticipated first auction of the year and boy was it an eventful day! We sold 14 out of the 18 lots sold, achieving an impressive 78% success rate and raising over £1.7 million for our sellers. From lively bidding in the venue to enthusiastic engagement online, it was a thrilling event from beginning to end. As usual, we achieved great prices for our sellers that surpassed expectations - here are three of our highlight lots:
29 Argyle Terrace, Rothesay: This 2-bedroom flat, initially priced at just £15,000+, sparked a frenzy of bidding and eventually sold for an impressive £29,000! With its prime location and potential for development, 29 Argyle Terrace boasts great opportunities for adding substantial value through renovation and enhancement.
691 Ferry Road, Edinburgh: 2-bedroom house, situated in a well-connected part of Edinburgh, began with a guide price of £75,000+ but quickly amassed many bids, fetching a remarkable £131,000! Though in need of some TLC and currently unhabitable, the property's location offers great potential for future growth and investment.
33 Graham Avenue, Hamilton: 4-bedroom house in Hamilton. With a guide price of £185,000+, it went for an incredible £217,000! Featuring two large lounges and occupying a substantial size of land, the Graham Avenue property offers ample space and comfort for its residents – it does need some renovation, but the potential to add value is there.
