3 Summer interior trends for 2022

27.06.2022

With interior trends always changing it can be hard to keep up with what’s in and what’s not. That’s why we have decided to share three of our favourite summer interior trends for this year.

Bringing the outdoors in

This isn’t a particularly new trend, but it’s thought it will be sticking around! Especially now we’re in the summer months, creating a somewhat seamless space between the indoor and outdoor areas of your home is much more appealing.

One way to achieve this is having large bi-fold doors that open out from your living space to the outside, or you could be more subtle by adding nods to the outdoors instead. House plants are a great way of bringing a small bit of nature inside, as well as adding colour to the space. You could also incorporate ‘outdoor’ textures, such as jute to your home.

50 shades of green

It’s no surprise that Green is this year’s stand out colour for spring/summer, as it seems to be everywhere. With so many shades to choose from, such as sage, olive and mint to name a few, it’s a colour that reminds us of nature and beings outdoors – can you sense a theme here?

Whether it’s used as an accent colour or an all-over green colour scheme – it’s certainly an uplifting theme for any room in your home. With its connotations to nature and wellness, it’s a colour that’s certainly bound to create a great atmosphere within a room.

Curves

There seems to have been a surge in the use of rounded shapes in the world of interiors – from furniture, chairs and accessories, this organic shape calls to those with a lifestyle geared towards comfort.

The curved lines in these pieces help to create a cosy and relaxed environment, with their softer silhouette helping to break up the harsh lines in a room and instead creating movement.
